Portuguese, Spanish, and Scrapish

Everyone that knows me knows that i have made up my own language based on the Spanish and English system. I later called it Scrapish. Yet did I know that it was going to look similar to the portuguese language too.

Ele me vê – Ella me ve – Eva vês mê

Yes. This is the part where you say “OMG They look the same!”. Yea well this is where I shit a brick too.

She sees me – English | Ele me vê – Portuguese | Ella me ve – Spanish | Eva vês mê – Scrapish

Although, I know the pronunciation is different per language, It looks the same.

Spanish and Scrapish use three stem changers. -ar -er and -ir. Portuguese uses -or also. The direct/indirect object pronouns look almost exactly alike, along with the endings and the other stem changing crap. What the hell??? Eh. I guess i’m being a hypocrite.

Problems with learning spanish – Problemas con aprendiendo el español

Learning english -> spanish for the most part is easy. But when it comes to those times where the book says some one/two word thing in english and the translation into spanish is some odd 2-3 words, you know that’s not what it really means. This kinda pissed me off. I learn better knowing the literal translation. Here’s what I have.

• sometimes -> a veces -> at times
• again -> otra vez -> another time
• next to -> al lado de -> [at|to] the side of
• why -> por qué -> for what

Oh, and I learned this in class. “I’m going to play football!”. There’s three lessons in that sentence.

I’m going -> Voy a. (Use Estoy yendo and my teacher will choke you. Jk. xD)
to play football -> jugar al fútbol. (Spanish uses jugar + al + sport/game to show what you’re going to play)
al -> a + el (to|at the; you cannot combine a + la if the thing you’re talking about ends in -a. You leave it at ‘a la’)

I’m going to play football -> Voy a jugar al fútbol -> I’m going to play at the football

It’s confusing yes i know, but once you got it, you won’t even need to think about it.

Take that Spanish! I can research!

Bored

You know, sometimes I wonder if Im going to do anything else with my life. I don’t like to travel really…….. Nah. I’d be okay. I enjoy running my IRC server and my IRC bot and using xUbuntu. wait. My kitten is messing around. *minutes later* What am I blogging about again? Lol. I think I forgot. haha.

-age words

I was thinking last night when I was sleeping that there’s a lot of words that end in age and all these words have something do to with time and/or age.

garbage – A group of old smelly things
collage – a piece of paper with pictures of things that happened in the past.
village - An old town
bandage – Heals old cuts, etc…
image – A picture of something taken/made times ago.
postage - Give me a second, I’m thinking on this one.

Anywho. That’s all i can think of. And those are not definitions, they’re just what i describe them as.

collañe – collage
villañe – village
bandañe – bandage
imañe – image
postañe – postage

Not the happiest of entries here….

I got this weird feeling that everyone hates me on IRC. Well… It kinda started when someone told me (not pointing at people) that i act like a complete douche sometimes. I know i’m not perfect but does it have to be that harsh? Eh. They have a point. I make a lot of jokes and I probably should tone it down. Really I don’t want to be an annoyance to people, but I like to talk. Sorry if that’s a crime.

Eh. Maybe some pizza rolls?

Soon we are góing to see ‘Harry Potter’ Saturday in IMAX. This will be so much fun!

I’m around six – eight weeks away from getting my new iPod Touch.

My Weekend

Hello everyone! Another weekly update on my life. (Oh yah! So cool )

My weekend has been good. Another week stuck in the house but another interesting week at the most. There’s been some bad weather during the last couple of weekdays. Specifically Rain. I wanted to move my computer into the basement so I did that. But it didn’t stay that way long. My computer moved back upstairs into my bedroom two days later. LOL. Right when I finished moving my computer back into my room, I moved my head to the left and looked out the window. “Where did that BIG beach ball come from?” So, I uploaded a picture of it onto my Twitter and showed it to everyone: http://twitpic.com/ao2mk We’re keeping it until someone within my Village claims it.

To my disappointment, my mother came back home with a flat panel monitor (which I’m currently using). Damn I want one now! (Well I do have one but xUbuntu 9.04 doesn’t like it. It’s a HANNS-G Mod:HU171. It only sticks to 800×600.)

I am about 4 weeks away from getting my New iPod Touch that will replace the one that fell into the sink. Once i get my new one I’ll be using it forever and ever.

I’m guessing you all want an update eh? Well here you go!

ScrapIRC is going great. I have 5 Staff members right now and i appreciate all the help they’ve been providing me while the server’s been up. Some of the staff members i’d love to see their faces more, but then I start to see their excuses and i start to cry. ScrapServ is up and running but the google command provided in phenny’s services mod. (.o g) isn’t working and i need that to work to add the google support to him. Eh. I’ve been waiting for a while. Hopefully they fix that.

My iPod isn’t doing to well…. The screen’s been damaged by water and i’m seeing nothing. So, currently i have $110 out of my $250 for a new one. I get $10 for mowing the lawn and $5 a week for keeping my room clean. (My mom owes me $17 Lol)

Español is awesome! Although kinda complicated, I still enjoy learning the language. IRC also helps when learning it.

I got a cell phone some time ago. I added my Facebook and Twitter to it and i’ve been over the txting like crazy.

School ending some time ago and thank god it’s over! I passed Geo. with a E exam. I passed LA (Language Arts) with a A Exam. (3 wrong woo!) Tells you how smart I am.
